Underneath It All Workshop Update

The Underneath It All workshops have started and they are going great. When I entered the venue, the girls looked very nervous. Nevertheless, Cherese Walker with W.R.A.P got their attention by her OUTSTANDING motivational speech on the 100/0 Rule: “You have to be willing to give 100 percent with zero expectation of receiving anything in return. Only when you are willing to take 100 percent responsibility for making the relationship work, will it work. Otherwise, the relationship left to chance will always be vulnerable to disaster.” Rise Up and Take Control | Darren Hardy, a quote she shared with the girls.

Anndrea Myles followed with an AWESOME lesson on Hygiene Etiquette where the girls learned how to take care of every crease of their bodies. There were demonstrations on shaving, washing the body, insertion of a tampon, and moisturizing the skin. It was truly an amazing experience for the girls and they left amazing comments.

Desiree’ Floyd said, “I will always remember the importance of giving back and requiring nothing. It is something to definitely think about as a young adult.” Bianca Duenas said, “I learned that my body is my temple and how I treat it will show in my everyday life.”

LaKendra Anderson told the girls they needed to spend a hour alone away from texting, television, Facebook, Twitter, and whatever else that they do. She left the girls with an assignment that focuses on how they feel about themselves. Mrs. Anderson will lead the next workshop which will cover “Perception of the Inner Self.” Stay tuned and I will update you on Sunday’s class.
