Anything broken, can be repaired…
Translated – The broken can heal. Through the healing process, it’s important how you speak LIFE back into yourself. The methods in which you allow yourself to mend your brokenness is very important. Your brokenheart. Your tainted mind. Your wounded spirit. But, it can be done with love and compassion. It’s the rarity of the method that will piece you back together. #Love #Forgiveness #Compassion
Here’s an old Japanese story…..
The story goes about a man who sent a very beautiful bowl back to China for a replacement. He was told that the piece was so rare, there wasn’t another one like it. “The Chinese sent back the original bowl, repaired with metal staples (as was the Chinese fashion). When a bowl, teapot or precious vase falls and breaks into a thousand pieces, we throw them away angrily and regretfully. Yet there is an alternative, a Japanese practice that highlights and enhances the breaks thus adding value to the broken object. It’s called kintsugi (金継ぎ), or kintsukuroi (金繕い), literally golden (“kin”) and repair (“tsugi”).”
What I’m saying to YOU is … you are that rare bowl🙌🏾 and YOU can’t be replaced, so its important the YOU BE FIXED with the beauty of love and compassion just like gold fixed the broken bowl. You were too beautiful to THROW AWAY. YOU WERE TOO PURPOSED TO THROW AWAY. You just needed time to go through your own healing process with support.
Gold is one of the most precious metals in the world that it mended these ceramic pieces back to a beautiful piece of artwork. The broken becomes something that everyone now wants to display for it’s newness and even more defined beauty.
“By repairing broken ceramics it’s possible to give a new lease of life to pottery that becomes even more refined thanks to its “scars”. The Japanese art of kintsugi teaches that broken objects are not something to hide but to display with pride.”
What I am saying to YOU is …. your scars becomes your purpose. YOUR STORY. YOUR WHY¿ YOUR MISSION to help heal others through your resiliency and triumphalism. YOUR ABILITY to get back up! YOUR MORAL FIBER to not give up on loving yourself. YOUR SURVIVAL through the suffering is your refined story about how life will break you and throw you away IF YOU LET IT. But, just like the old story of the man who wanted to repurpose a beautiful bowl that had been broken, the value, the tools, the effort in which you piece yourself back together will become your legacy in helping others to do the same.
